Immunoinformatics-Based Vaccine Designing
摘要
Immunoinformatics is a pivotal approach at the nexus of immunology and bioinformatics, revolutionizing vaccine development. By harnessing computational techniques and bioinformatics tools, Immunoinformatics enables the simulation, assessment, and comprehension of immune responses to viruses, expediting the creation of effective vaccines. Traditionally, vaccine design relied on labour-intensive experimental methods; however, Immunoinformatics offers a more efficient and targeted alternative. Recent advancements in immunological bioinformatics have provided researchers with predictive tools to identify epitopes, antigens, and immune responses, accelerating vaccine manufacturing and streamlining safety evaluations. Additionally, Immunoinformatics facilitates the creation of personalized vaccines tailored to individual genetic profiles and immune system characteristics. This groundbreaking approach not only enhances vaccine efficacy but also reduces costs and time associated with experimental testing. In the current chapter, we discussed about the informatics and immunology combinatorial approach for vaccine development.
