The article presents the definition of types of educational projects, namely: web projects that provide educational services online, web projects that advertise educational projects. The main characteristics and types of educational web projects are described. Platforms in social media for creating educational web projects are identified. The requirements for creating an official page for promoting an educational web project in social networks are determined. The algorithms for creating information content for the promotion of an educational web project in social media and choosing a platform for creating an educational web project are presented. The results of the activity of an educational web project advertising educational services are presented on the example of a department of a higher education institution, namely the Department of Social Communications and Information Activities of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
