Virtual and Human Influencers: Examining the Dimensions of Authenticity, Reliability, and Innovation in Consumer Perception

This research explores the transformative role of virtual brand ambassadors in influencer marketing, driven by AI and CGI technologies. It investigates consumer perceptions of virtual influencers compared to human influencers, focusing on three major dimensions - authenticity, reliability, and innovation. Analyzing responses from an online survey and conducting an independent t-test methodology, the study examines the relative difference in influencing consumer perception and engagement with virtual and human influencers with reference to the key attributes. Through an in-depth literature review and empirical analysis, this paper contributes to understanding the evolving dynamics of virtual influencers in the digital marketing landscape.
