Additional sources of marine pollution include oil spills, pharmaceutical discharges, semiconductor effluents, and shipping ballast water. Given their technical and financial capabilities, MNEs are responsible for conserving oceans and marine ecosystems. By deploying policy and technological interventions, MNEs can contribute significantly to the tenets of SDG 14.
