This study discusses the impact of Industry 4.0 on small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), highlighting the importance of adopting emerging technologies to improve competitiveness. Implementing Industry 4.0 presents challenges for SMEs due to complexity and limited resources. However, it offers advantages such as increased productivity and reduced operating costs. A case study followed the Industry 4.0 maturity assessment model in a small company in the ecological brick machinery manufacturing sector. The survey results revealed that the company needs to gain a higher level of maturity in its analysis dimensions about the Industry 4.0 ideal. Proposed improvement suggestions include investments in team training, modernization of the manufacturing structure, and systems integration. Adopting Industry 4.0 requires an integrated approach and strategic, skills, and technological adjustments.
