This research aims to explore the potential of 3D Particle Bed Printing (3DPBP) as an additive manufacturing technique for sustainable construction applications. The study focuses on the utilization of different cementitious binders, including a Portland cement free option (calcium sulfoaluminate cement), in combination with recycled sand to create environmentally friendly building components. The research investigates the printability and mechanical properties of 3DPBP printed objects, with a specific emphasis on compressive strength. The incorporation of recycled sand as a byproduct of construction and demolition waste treatment adds an eco-friendly dimension to the process, contributing to the circular economy. The paper underscores the significance of optimizing material compositions to achieve desired performance characteristics while minimizing the demand for natural resources. The results of this ongoing research are expected to shed light on the potential of 3DPBP to rethink the construction industry and advance sustainable building practices.
