The article provides an analysis of the concept of the Internet of Energy: the structural elements of the Internet of Energy system, the main components of the architecture and the main distinctive features of this concept. The energy system created within the framework of the Internet of Energy concept makes it possible to successfully implement a distributed energy model in which two-way information exchange is carried out between users. Projects for the implementation of decentralized energy systems based on the architectural model of the Internet of Energy, created in Russia, the USA, and Singapore and others are considered, including the issues and prospects for their development.
