As is known, the delivery of components to the production site requires time and money. In addition, it is necessary to carefully work out and optimize logistics processes to improve production efficiency. Today, the above tasks can be eliminated through the use of additive technologies. An innovative approach helps to significantly simplify the production process. The article discusses the efficiency of using additive technologies in production processes. Articles on additive technologies, their application are analyzed and conclusions are made. Examples of successful implementation of additive technologies in various industries, such as automotive, aerospace, electronics and medicine are considered. Also, “as is” and “as should be” models are built to practically evaluate the efficiency of using additive technologies. It is emphasized that additive technologies help reduce logistics costs, increase production flexibility and the ability to create complex geometric shapes in order to individualize production. In conclusion, conclusions are also made on the prospects and trends in the development of additive technologies in the future.
