The ornamental stone industry produces a huge amount of wasteWaste that is discarded in landfills. The incorporation of these residuesResidue into mortarsMortar can improve their mechanical performance. However, the wasteWaste can present different characteristics during its collection and preparation, both geometric and morphological. The objective of this work is to evaluate how the granulometry of marbleMarble influences the properties in the hardened state of the mortarMortar. Five different granulometries of marbleMarble were evaluated as a replacement for sand, with each grain size incorporated at levels of 10% and 20%. Particle size tests were carried out to characterize the materials, while mechanical resistance, water absorption, adhesion, and capillarity tests were also performed for mortarMortar characterizationCharacterization. The tests evaluated that the larger the granulometry of the marbleMarble, the greater the mechanical resistance and the lower the water absorption.
