DENSICROSS—Intelligent Process Control

The production process of green anodesAnode is complex due to the variety of equipment and factors influencing the quality of the paste. Additionally, the operator's mode of operation affects the process. For reducing deviations and achieve greater production uniformityUniformity, the DENSICROSS system was developed. DENSICROSS introduces a new approach to anodeAnode production with its intelligent process controlIntelligent process control system. By continuously measuring and controlling the height, density, time, and pitch rate of the anodesAnode during production, it optimizes the compactionCompaction optimization process, minimizes defects, and maximizes efficiency. The PitchPitch control Rate Control mechanism further enhances performance by dynamically adjusting pitch rate based on predefined criteria. This paper emphasizes the significance of DENSICROSS in enhancing anodeAnode production with a carousel vibrocompactor with three molds, achieving gains such as reducing height standard deviation by approximately 72%, decreasing pitch consumption by 55 tons per month, and increasing baked apparent density by 0.004 g/cm3.
