The chapter presents an American theologian Mary DalyMary Daly (1928–2010), an academic at Boston College University (USA), being, together with Elisabeth Gössmann—one of the first PhDs (womenwomen) in Catholic theologyTheology and one of the pioneers of feminist theologyfeminist theology. Firstly, we will present Daly’s narrated contextcontext through interviews in The Heights, the magazine of Boston College, the university where Mary DalyMary Daly taught. It also allows an external and contextualized approach to the personperson and work from within the university. Next, we will ask what is meant by methodmethod, theological method and feminist theological method. Then we will look at the criteriacriteria for assessing the validityvalidity of a scientific method, with attention to the hermeneutic scientific model as the one followed by theologytheology as opposed to other sciences that follow the empirical-analytical model. After the exposition of this chapter, we will discover that Daly shares many methodological procedures with Thomas AquinasThomas Aquinas, Paul TillichPaul Tillich and current theologians and philosophers such as Bernard LonerganBernard Lonergan and Paul RicoeurRicoeur etc. (Daly, Pure lust.
