The Role of HR in Promoting Environmental Sustainability in Bahrain
摘要
This research examines the function of Human Resources (HR) in advancing environmental sustainability in Bahrain. Its objective is to comprehend the efficiency and obstacles of implementing Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) techniques in this particular setting. The study aims to provide insights into how HR may improve corporate sustainability initiatives by combining current literature and applying fresh empirical information. Methods: A comprehensive literature analysis was undertaken, with a special emphasis on previous research pertaining to GHRM, sustainable practices within HR, and the unique problems and possibilities in Bahrain. The process of comparative analysis and theme synthesis was used to combine and analyze information from several sources. Findings: The research demonstrates that while there is an increasing interest in GHRM practices in Bahrain, their implementation is impeded by insufficient regulatory pressure, lack of understanding about sustainability, and inadequate alignment of HR practices with business sustainability objectives. Nevertheless, there is data indicating that the implementation of efficient GHRM processes may result in enhanced environmental results and increased employee engagement. In conclusion: In order to successfully promote environmental sustainability, firms in Bahrain should include Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) principles into their strategic management. Policymakers and business leaders should be motivated to create a regulatory and instructional environment that promotes the implementation of GHRM. Additional investigation is required to examine the influence of GHRM in various industries and organizational environments.
