摘要

Birth defects are the leading cause of infant death, accounting for 20% of all infant deaths, so preventing birth defects is an important social goal [1]. Yet, the etiology of birth defects is complex, which means that there are many pathways for improvement. Modern teratology pays special attention to genetic studies in order to reveal certain gene and chromosome pathology. In sporadic malformations, it is usually impossible to detect stable gene defect in all cases. But even in genetic not inherited syndromes with clarified pathogenesis, the primary course of their development remains unclear. Taking in consideration that many intracellular microorganisms being in dormant state and lied with different structures including DNA, we may propose that the real role of pathogens may be underestimated.
