Indigenous Psychologies: A Pluriversal Movement for Cultural, Epistemic, Ecological, and Linguistic Justice
摘要
The original peoples of the world, who encountered colonization from the XV1 to the XVIII centuries when the Europeans arrived at their lands, have been resisting the erasure of their beliefs, knowledge, and praxes systems. Within the violence of colonization and the genocide it caused, the original inhabitants of the lands the colonizers occupied have continued practicing their religions and spirituality, taking care of the land using medicinal herbs and plants for healing and wellbeing. This capacity to resist and refuse the imposition of the colonizers constitutes a powerful movement that has also reclaimed their land and sacred territories and developed growing knowledge systems aligned with their cosmologies and cosmovisions (Ciofalo et al., 2022).
