摘要

While administering discipline is certainly not one of the most enjoyable aspects of the roles and responsibilities of supervising others, the reality is that there will likely be times when a supervisor will face situations where they will be expected to address disciplinary issues involving employees. This is the case when an employee has not properly complied with the behavioral expectations that an organization has established for its employees. Effective discipline involves establishing, communicating, and enforcing the behavioral expectations that an organization has for its employees. These expectations are typically delineated in an organization’s work rules, code of conduct, or other guidance documents.
