Among the most significant challenges that can confront contemporary organizations and their leaders are crisis events and situations. Crises that impact an organization and its success, and at time survival, can originate within an organization or in its external environment. The nature of crisis events can vary widely as can their impact on an organization. Crisis events and situations dictate that organizational leaders be prepared to make informed and prudent decisions before, during, and after the actual crisis.
