This study delves into the stability of vibrations in a complex mechanical oscillator traversing an infinite continuous beam-foundation system. It focuses on discerning stability differences between two models: one with an adjustable vertical position connected to the car’s body and another linked to the bogies. After determining stability limits for both models, it can be observed that connecting the stabilizer to the car body results in larger stability regions. In this scenario, significant changes to the stiffness and damping parameters can be made with minimal alteration to the stability region. In contrast, when the stabilizer is connected to the bogies, changes in the stiffness and damping parameters can have a more substantial impact and manipulation of the stability region but the stability regions are consistently smaller in all cases considered.

摘要
