Investigation of efficient biomass exploitation presents a very interesting topic nowadays, because of possible energetic crises, unstable energy market, energy independence, increasing usage of livestock etc. Genetic improvements are placing constant pressure on feed manufacturers to produce quality feeds that match the increased requirements of improved breeds. Biomass is one of the main sources for animal feed because it is commonly used and compressed as pellets. In this paper, the pelletizing machine for households will be presented. For the purposes of investigation, the pelletizing machine has been made firstly in CAD software, and then the real working model is completed. The machine functionality testing has been conducted, and pellets from the various materials are shown. In the conclusions, the weak points and strong points of the pellet machine are highlighted and further research direction is proposed.
