Сonsidered the problems of urban development, and studied the state of the city as an example of Bishkek. The problem caused by the modern trend of urban planning, the development of which does not always comply with existing standards. Over the past thirty years, the area of the city in question has increased by thirty percent, which directly related to the increase in the population of this territory. The initial position of the city of Bishkek after gaining independence, and comparative indicators for recent years, taken as a basis covering about 30 years. Analyzes have established that the territory of the modern city surrounded by almost 57 new residential areas, which not fully provided with all communications, in particular, allocated the heat supply of Bishkek. This circumstance was the main cause of atmospheric air pollution from stationary sources, which focused on emissions of PM 2.5 particles. Analyzes have established that these indicators reach their maximum value in winter, when the private sector heats their homes with coal. Separately, emissions from other sources were identified, including from vehicles, which account for about 25% of all atmospheric air pollution in Bishkek. The reasons for this situation determined to be non-compliance with urban planning standards for the development of this city.
