Analysis of the Design Features and Materials of Wooden Frame Housing Construction in the Individual Housing Construction Sector

The article examines the change in the geometric dimensions of the elements of the wooden frame of an individual housing construction object under construction. Frame housing construction has practically no alternative in the case of the construction of prefabricated buildings with a minimum cost per square meter. It was found that pine boards of vertical frame posts with a cross section of 50 × 150 mm, having an initial humidity of W = 27%, when switching to an equilibrium state of humidity (W = 18.4%), characteristic of the actual operating conditions of the structure, shrinkage with a width of 1.3 mm, a thickness of 1.7 mm. With 500 mm between the posts of the frame structure, the total change in the section of the opening for insulation will be 3.4 mm, which is not a critical value when using mineral wool slabs with high elasticity as insulation. In cases where materials with limited elasticity indicators are used, which are not able to compensate for the overall shrinkage of the frame racks, cracks may form between the insulation and the frame racks. In this case, there will be a violation of the continuity of the thermal insulation shell of the enclosing structure with the formation of factors of destruction of the frame and insulation, reducing the thermal characteristics of the construction object. When using insulation in wooden frame housing construction, which has insufficient elasticity indicators, the frame material must provide stable geometric dimensions without significant fluctuations.
