Robotic Left Sided Lobectomy (Technical Considerations)
摘要
Lobectomy is still considered the gold standard for treatment of lung cancer. With advances in minimally invasive surgery and anaesthesia techniques, robotic lung resections can be performed safely and effectively without compromising oncologic outcomes. The wristed movement of the robotic arm, improved optics and better ergonomics can yield advantages over the conventional VATS approach. The techniques of port placement, mediastinal lymph node dissection and the steps of surgery for left sided robotic lung resections have been described in this paper.
