Informalisation and Emancipation of Lust and Love: Integration of Sexualisation and Eroticisation Since the 1880s
摘要
The text discusses the theses why love has become more difficult, lasting love in particular. With a long-term process-sociological approach Wouters reconstructs changes in romantic and sexual relations of young people in relation to the emancipation of women and young people since the 1880s. As part of processes of informalisation young people and women have not only successfully escaped from under the wings of parents, men, and husbands; moreover, these processes coincided with an emancipation of their sexuality. The analysis of established and also internalised codes proves in detail how an integration of sex and love took place for the ambivalent background of especially women’s emancipation, sexualisation, as well as erotisation.
