In this paper, through statistical analysis, it has been possible to analyze the value of hospital stay (LOS) of patients who have undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy in the years 2016 and 2017, in order to make a comparison before and after the implementation of corrective maneuvers. The laparoscopic techniques emergence for cholecystectomy has had a considerable influence on the hospital departments involved and on the clinical conditions of patients after surgery. The duration of the stay (LOS) is a useful tool to measure the quality of a service in terms of days that the patient remains hospitalized. Many documents underline the importance of the analysis of this indicator for the programming of adequate medical management. In our work, LOS analysis affected all patients who had laparoscopic cholecystectomy, using the multiple linear regression technique, at the University Hospital “Federico II” of Naples (Italy). The results show a good predictive power of the models, in fact the values of the coefficient R2 is 0.839 in the first case and 0.914 in the second case.

摘要
