The customers of the poultry slaughter business are catering establishments and housewives as end customers. Contamination can occur in such a long supply chain and the halal status of broiler products may be questioned. Halal means allowed in Arabic. The issue under investigation is that there is a potential risk that the chicken could become non-halal.
