The Significance of the Influence of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process on the Performance of Selecting Guitar Bag Raw Material Suppliers at Creative Industry
摘要
Creative Industry X is a manufacturing company that produces musical instrument bags. To meet the demand for raw material supply, the company has not been able to determine the best supplier. So far, the company makes decisions in selecting suppliers based solely on the intuition of the parties involved in the procurement of these raw materials. The company's problems are quality that does not match the company's criteria and delays in the production process. Therefore the company really needs a method to choose the best supplier of the main raw material for guitar bags according to the criteria expected by the company. In this study, researchers will try to compare the decision results of several supplier selection methods, namely AHP, TOPSIS, AHP-TOPSIS, and Fuzzy AHP using a case study at Creative Industry X. The four important methods need to be compared in making supplier selection decisions to assess the significance of using the AHP method alone or in its integration. With this comparison, it is expected to be able to find the significance level of using AHP on supplier selection performance. The result is the method with AHP calculations excels with a significance value that is around 60% to 70% beating the non-AHP method (represented by the TOPSIS Single method) which only obtains a significance value of 40%. For future, researcher suggest to use AHP as tools to better result.
