Optimizing the Layout Design of Briquette Production Facilities Using Blocplan Algorithm (Case Study PT. CEL)
摘要
One of the most important things about the layout of the factory is the time, cost, and distance to move materials. The layout of production facilities determines the efficiency of the production process in long run. The aim of the research is to minimize the distance by making a new production facility layout and building a production simulation model to find out how many changes in output and the average production process will occur with the proposed new facility layout. The layout model made using a Blocplan and. In the layout creation process, two ARC created according to the number of rooms provided. Qualitative values based on the degree of proximity between facilities together with the calculation of floor area used as input in data processing using Blocplan to obtain a production floor layout design. This ARC method focuses more on quantitative numeric data on the relationship between each facility by calculating the total value of each code for the degree of closeness obtained in ARC. The result of this facility layout design is that there are alternative facility layouts that can selected as proposed facility layouts at the PT. CEL briquette factory. From this research it is known that for the actual area of 10 m x 5 m of production floor, 3 optimal solutions were obtained and the best layout is the alternative 3, with an adjacency score of 1.00, R-Score of 0.90 and Rel-dist score of 87, and alternative 1 with adjacency score 1.00, R-Score of 1.00, and Rel-dist score of 45 for actual area of 5 m x 5 m.
