In this chapter, I examine coloniality in the ‘de-humaning’ use of digital technologies in language education and propose ways to ‘re-human’ the way we use these tools for ethical, collaborative learning. I explore key decolonial concepts, including coloniality of knowledge and language, multiversal framings, and global-centric scholarship. I then discuss technological solutionism and identify coloniality in MOOCs and language testing technologies, considering their impact on knowledge ecologies and human lives. Finally, I explore Wikipedia engagement and virtual exchange practices as examples of unlearning and pluriversal engagement, while acknowledging their potential to reinforce coloniality.
