Closing Remarks

In this concluding chapter, I discuss specific steps that individuals and societies could take to secure a better future. The chapter will be split into three main parts, each of which corresponds to a different segment of society (academic, sociopolitical, and individual citizens) that can draw distinct, though occasionally overlapping, implications from the preceding chapters. Each of these three parts will, in turn, be divided into two halves consisting of the key takeaways that the preceding chapters have for each segment of society, and recommendations about the specific steps that individuals falling within each segment could take to help maximize positive outcomes.
