This chapter argues that the security concerns related to Russia’s large-scale invasion of UkraineUkraine meant a turning point for the European Union, with important repercussions on both its internal policies and its external relations. From this angle, the main research questions relate to how the changing security circumstances in the security and defense governance of the Euro-Latin American are adapting. To this end, the chapter follows with a state of the art of the issue based on a review of primary and secondary sources, and after conducting interviews with policymakers from both regions. Then, it will be analyzed who is calling for governance in this area from a Euro-Latin American perspective; and later, it will be examined the answers about which actors are considering these issues. Finally, the chapter closes with an evaluation of the governance mechanisms, the horizon that can be seen, as well as  some recommendations.

摘要
