Analysis of the Equilibrium of a Magnetic Contactless Suspension

In this paper, we consider a one-dimensional model of magnetic suspension in the case of a variable magnetic field. Analytical expressions for the averaged over a period of an external current source for the suspension equilibrium position are obtained. It is shown that the magnetic stiffness of the suspension has a sign-variable character in the general case. An expression for the averaged value of the magnetic stiffness is obtained and it is shown that this value is always positive.
