In the context of an accelerated environmental degradation and climate change as well as the obvious artificialization process of lifestyle because of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, human beings are more and more challenged to re-consider their place in nature. The value of creatively dealing with the present ecological crisis has become one of the priorities for the philosophical endeavour. Among significant contributions in this regard is the “ontopoietic” phenomenology of life elaborated by Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka. Her insight into the real needs and possibilities of human beings are revealed with an original perspective upon the “human positioning in the cosmos.” Focusing on the “creative Human Condition” in the “Ontopoiesis of Life,” emphasizes the human status of “Custodian of everything-there-is-alive,” explaining and interpreting it in relation with peculiar thematizations through which she succeeded to greatly renew and enrich the environmental philosophy.
