Edible Mushroom and Bacteria-Related Diseases
摘要
Edible mushrooms are widely consumed globally and highly valued for their distinct taste profiles and alleged positive effects on human health. Nevertheless, the ingestion of mushrooms may give rise to specific health hazards as a result of the existence of diseases associated with bacteria. This study investigates the convergence of edible mushrooms and bacterial infections, elucidating the prevalent bacterial species linked to mushrooms, the resulting diseases they induce, and preventative strategies to guarantee the safety of mushroom consumption. This chapter endeavors to offer valuable insights for consumers and healthcare professionals in mitigating the risks associated with edible mushroom consumption by analyzing the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment options of these bacterial diseases.
