Case 1: Sinus Bradycardia in a Football Player

A 14-year-old football player was examined by the sports doctor who found a bradycardia at a rate of 55 beats per minute. As a precautionary measure, the doctor recommended a Holter monitoring test before allowing the teenager to continue playing professional football. The teenager displayed no symptoms and had a normal echocardiogram (Figs. 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.7, and 7.8).
