Holter ECG artifacts refer to electrocardiographic changes that are unrelated to the electrical activity of the heart. Artifacts can cause distortion in the components of the electrocardiogram (ECG), including the baseline and waves which do not permit measurement of the intervals, segments, waves, or complexes.
