Case 24: Fascicular Premature Ventricular Contractions and Nonsustained VT in a Neonate
摘要
A newborn delivered at 39 weeks of gestation was detected arrhythmic at auscultation. A 12-lead ECG detected premature ventricular contractions and raised concerns about the PVC burden. At 3 days of life, a Holter ECG was performed to quantify the PVCs burden. The lab tests were normal. Echocardiography showed patent foramen ovale and patent ductus arteriosus, without any further anomalies (Figs. 30.1, 30.2, 30.3, 30.4, 30.5, 30.6, 30.7, and 30.8).
