Case 19: A 12-Month-Old Boy with Prader-Willi Syndrome Is Experiencing Sinus Tachycardia
摘要
A 12-month-old male infant diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome, who underwent surgery for atrial septal defect, experienced paresis of the right diaphragm and recurrent episodes of pneumonia. The patient presented with heart failure as indicated by clinical manifestations, and NTproBNp level of 2500 pg/mL. During 12-lead ECG, heart rates ranging from 150 to 170 beats per minute were present. This prompts the inquiry of a paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia as the etiology of the heart failure (Figs. 25.1, 25.2, 25.3, 25.4, 25.5, 25.6, 25.7, 25.8, and 25.9).
