Case 13: WPW Syndrome with PSVT Episodes in COVID Pandemics
摘要
A 7-week-old child with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome presented several episodes of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia during a COVID infection. Treatment included multiple doses of Adenosine, intravenous Amiodarone infusion, and Propranolol at a dosage of 3 mg/kg/day. No tachycardia episodes were observed during the Holter monitoring under antiarrhythmic drugs. He experienced heart rates of 270 beats per minute during clinical tachycardia. Echocardiography revealed an ejection fraction of 40% due to repeated arrhythmic episodes, which subsequently returned to normal after 8 weeks (Figs. 19.1, 19.2, 19.3, 19.4, 19.5, 19.6, 19.7, 19.8, 19.9, 19.10, 19.11, 19.12, 19.13, 19.14, 19.15, 19.16, 19.17, 19.18, and 19.19).
