Focused Assessment of Sonography in Trauma (FAST)
摘要
The FAST exam is an easy bedside ultrasound protocol to evaluate for intraperitoneal fluid in the abdomen and thorax as well as fluid around the heart. Common indications for a FAST exam in the critical care setting include undifferentiated hypotension, shock, massive ascites, ruptured viscus, and intrabdominal/intraperitoneal bleeding. The FAST exam consists of examining the left and right abdomen, the pelvis, and the heart.
