Evaluating the Performance of Energy Start-Ups in OECD Countries
摘要
Entrepreneurship is widely recognized as an important factor in supporting global prosperity and innovation. The objective of this research is to examine and evaluate the entrepreneurial performance of OECD members in the energy sector, as well as to guide how to better understand and improve the efficiency of energy start-up ecosystems based on the findings. In order to achieve these objectives, Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approaches are used. Findings from TOPSIS and Entropy approaches used in the context of MCDA show major differences in the performance of energy entrepreneurship across OECD members. The DEA findings, in particular, underline the success of European countries in terms of energy entrepreneurship efficiency. The results provide insights for academics and policymakers on the promotion and success of entrepreneurship in the energy sector.
