The syndrome or Fournier Gangrene (FG) is a necrotizing fasciitis, which quickly progressive affecting the perineum, genitals, or the perianal region, being able to expand its involvement at a speed of 1 in./hour [1, 2]. It must be considered a surgical emergency, and a condition with high mortality risk (approximately 40%) depending on risk factors, patient comorbidities, the severity of local involvement, and speed in instituting treatment [3, 4]. The main mortality causes are sepsis, coagulopathy, acute renal failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and multiple organ failure [5].
