Pancreatic Tumors
摘要
The pancreas is a retroperitoneal organ located behind the stomach, between the duodenum on the right and the spleen on the left. It is divided into the head, body, and tail. The pancreatic secretion drains into the duct of Wirsung or the major pancreatic duct, which enters the second portion of the duodenum through the major duodenal papilla or papilla of Vater. The biliary tract also flows into Vater’s papilla through the common bile duct. The accessory pancreatic duct, the duct of Santorini, empties into the minor duodenal papilla, which is located above the papilla of Vater and also drains part of the pancreatic juice.
