Nowadays with the increase in population and increase in vehicles, going to the petrol station and refuelling is a bit of a chore as well as time consuming. Often, it is becoming more and more difficult to refuel, usually at night due to a shortage of workers at petrol stations. In some cases, due to lack of proper retail and in some places, the meter level is adjusted and consumers are cheated by offering less petrol. There have been instances where drivers of rental vehicles sometimes deceive their owners for over petrol. A digital transaction system is in place at many petrol stations to alleviate this issue. In this work, a card based digital system is introduced. Card holds the unique id and other details of an individual. In this system, once the card gets scanned it asks for the amount of fuel to be refilled and balance amount notification reaches the registered mobile phone. In this way, one can refill the fuel on their own. Therefore, petrol theft can be avoided and waiting time in petrol stations is reduced. In this work, the prototype of the working model is developed and tested successfully. The performance results of this proposed system outperform other methods in practice.
