A Questionnaire Based Survey Analysis of Cyber Crime in Rural and Urban Areas
摘要
Cybercrime is the criminal practice of using a computer or network to perpetrate a crime. It is impossible to overestimate how dangerous cybercrime is, both in the personal and professional arenas, and how real it is becoming. The widespread use of the internet has given crimes that have already been committed a new lease of life. This document aims to increase awareness about the need for improved cyber security as well as the cybercrimes that are happening in both rural and urban regions. A considerable rise in cybercrime has been seen in both urban and rural regions, with fraudsters depriving many people of their rightfully earned money. Because rural populations in eastern India are less aware of internet activity, cybercrime is a significant problem. A considerable rise in cybercrime has been seen in both urban and rural regions, with fraudsters depriving many people of their rightfully earned money. Effective control over cybercrimes requires that the general public be also made aware of them. To get an understanding of it, we structured the questionnaire around cybercrime and performed a brief examination of the general public’s knowledge patterns about cybercrime and cybersecurity. The subject is studied in this study using a well-structured questionnaire survey technique. The results indicate that most people don’t know enough about the strategies used by cybercriminals and don’t give their online data security any thought.
