Representation of Water Quality Through Geospatial Technique in and Around Pulivendula Area
摘要
The present work enlightens a case study and examination of the ground water quality performed in the Pulivendula region of Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The spatial distribution of the parameters is represented via a raster map and a quantum geographic information system (QGIS). To fulfill basic need of all the living beings after air, water is the most precious natural resource. Even though water covers 70% of the earth's surface, 3% is useful for day to day activities; on that also majorly polluted. Since water is used for so many different things from the dawn to dusk, its appropriateness must be established before usage. Also, it is necessary to periodically analyze physico - chemical parameters of water sources to make sure that all of the parameters are within limits as per IS as well as WHO guidelines. Water body degradation is not only indicates environmental deterioration but also poses a anthropocentric activities. Analyzed parameters are represented with QGIS for better visualization of public as well as administrative authorities of concerned.
