The next-generation wireless network consists of a heterogeneous environment to provide seamless connectivity. Due to the heterogeneous environment, the selection of an optimal network becomes necessary. In this paper, the selection decision is based on both user preference and network parameters which increase the Quality of service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE). This user preference is calculated by the Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) and network performance is included in the Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) algorithm. Thus, by considering the effect of both QoS and QoE, the optimal network is selected.

摘要
