The demand for high-speed wireless communication systems has increased tremendously in recent years. The latest wireless local area network (WLAN) standard, 802.11ax, has been introduced to meet this demand. One of the critical features of 802.11ax is channel bonding, which enables the aggregation of multiple non-contiguous channels to increase the available bandwidth for a single user. This paper aims to analyze the performance of channel bonding in 802.11ax by modeling the channel and analyzing the throughput and path loss by using four different channel bandwidths (20, 40, 80, and 160 MHz) allotted to a single user.
