The fast-growing number of devices in WLANs and high-data applications required by the latest technologies demand faster error-free communication, higher throughput, and reduced latency, even in congested scenarios. The latest Wi-Fi standard - Wi-Fi 7 EHT- is being developed and aims to address these demands. Wi-Fi 7 supports OFDMA and MU-MIMO individually, and in this proposed work, the aim is to combine the two technologies to get the best of both and analyze the performance. In this paper, we simulated the IEEE 802.11be system using MATLAB and observed that for 4 users, at higher path loss the hybrid scheme performs better. With an increase in the number of users, the hybrid scheme outperforms the OFDMA or MU-MIMO scheme in isolation.
