Design and Implementation of Wi-Fi and ZigBee IoT Devices for Short-Range IoT Connectivity
摘要
Internet of Things (IoT) as an essential infrastructure proposed for industrial surveillance and different applications has been popularly applied to different domains, such as environmental monitoring, smart home and smart building, smart factories, healthcare, and smart farming, for aiming to improve our living environments. In this paper, design and implementation of Wi-Fi and ZigBee-based short-range connectivity are described. We also present how an open-source software platform can be integrated with IoT end devices to collecting, processing, storing, and monitoring streams of data measured in real-time by using low-cost environmental sensors. They are embedded in IoT devices over short-range wireless communications, including Wi-Fi and Zigbee. We finally focus on environmental data visualization of the air and water real-time monitoring parameters enables warnings to managers in severe case-studies.
