Adapting Project Management Offices to the Era of Hybrid Work, Agile Methodologies, and Industry 4.0
摘要
The objective of this article is to examine three management trends applied to the Project Management Office (PMO) in the post-pandemic period: hybrid work, agile methodologies and industry 4.0 technologies. To achieve this objective, three hypotheses were formulated, the validity of which was verified with the qualitative analysis of scientific texts extracted from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The results of the study confirm the growing adoption of the hybrid work model (1st hypothesis), highlighting the challenges for communication and cooperation of efforts of the times, which impact project results. The study also showed an increasing use of agile methodologies (2nd hypothesis), alone or in conjunction with traditional management approaches, due to their broad flexibility and the benefits they detract from. However, the study did not reveal the incorporation of Industry 4.0 tools to support Project Management Office activities (3rd hypothesis).
