Unlike a regular refrigerator, a smart refrigerator is an equipment with many characteristics. A smart refrigerator can track the quantity of food within, identify spoiled food, keep an eye on food expiration dates, and notify the user. Notifications on low-stock items, products that are about to expire, and the presence of spoiled food will be sent to the user. Food products are weighed using load cells, their expiration dates are tracked using an RFID module, and the spoilage of food is identified using a MQ4 sensor. The Arduino microcontroller collects data from the sensors and uploads it to the cloud platform via the esp8266 Wi-Fi module. The smart refrigerator can be accessed by the users from anywhere in the world at any time.
